Due to our ever-continuing growth and demand for our products, we are looking for an Assistant Buyer in our DIY department based in our Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool L24.
This is a full-time and permanent, office-based position.
As an Assistant Buyer you will play a key role in providing effective & efficient support in our Buying department. To be successful, it is essential that you can work at pace, have excellent administration skills and an eye for detail.
This is an ideal role for someone in a Buying Assistant position looking to step up to the next level, with scope for additional buying responsibilities and a great opportunity to get more involved with product, comp shops, range building etc.
The key responsibilities of the role are:
- Responsibility for Critical Path and product development: Creating codes, updating product information on the Critical Path, chasing and approvals of pre-shipment images, assembly instructions, test certificates, artwork etc
- Processing shipping documents with accuracy
- Liaising with Far East suppliers
- Photography and artworks – arranging samples pick up/ drop off with studio
- Internet – upload lines on internet
- General data input
- Housekeeping, organising files, working in sample room on products etc
- Direct delivery data analysis & processes
- Select Supplier meetings reviewing ranges.
- Design – involved in briefing and sign off process
Experience/Skills Required:
- Ideally currently in a Buying Assistant role looking for additional responsibilities
- Creative, eye for detail and excellent organisational skills
- Strong Excel experience is essential Computer literacy to include working knowledge of Microsoft systems, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong numerical skills and ability to analyse data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
