Due to our ever continuing growth and demand for our products, we are looking for an Assistant Buyer to join our Home team based in our Support Centre in Speke. This is a full time position and permanent.

As an Assistant Buyer you will play a key role in providing effective & efficient support in our Buying department. To be successful, it is essential that you can work at pace, have excellent administration skills and an eye for detail.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Liaising with Far East suppliers.
  • Photography and artworks – Arranging samples pick up/ drop off with studio.
  • Internet – Upload lines on internet.  
  • Work closely with the merchandiser and suppliers to ensure Critical Path is up to date
  • Plan & Prepare with the Senior Buyer ranges for sign off with the Buying Director
  • Work with the Design Team to develop own brand artwork for approval
  • Where required work with QC team for compliance

The ideal candidate will have the following experience/skills:

  • Senior Buyers Admin at a level to step up to AB
  • Homeware experience/knowledge would be an advantage but not essential
  • Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers including Far East
  • Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once and to work well under pressure
  • Experience of overseeing Buying Admin within a team structure
