We are seeking a experienced contract IT Project Manager based at our Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool, L24. This contract will be initially for 6 months.
As the IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of complex IT waterfall projects from initiation to closure. The successful candidate will have a proven history of strong stake holder management, and they will possess excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills to effectively manage projects and ensure their successful delivery.
We are looking for a candidate who has previous experience working within a fast paced Imports/Exports or Customs function, that is able to work on several projects at once.
The key responsibilities in the role are:
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines and resources
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of project deliverables with business objectives
- Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders
- Ensure project requirements are clearly defined, and all deliverables meet quality standards
- Manage project scope, ensuring any changes are properly managed through change control processes
- Facilitate effective communication between project team members, stakeholders, and sponsors
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
- A background in retail
- 5+ years of experience in IT project management
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
- PMP certification or equivalent is a plus
