We are currently looking to recruit a National Facilities Manager to sit within a key team to maintain, repair, improve and implement site facilities across our portfolio of 5 Distribution Centre ensuring we remain safe, legal and compliant in all areas.
This role is full time and will be based in one of our North West Sites.
You will manage a team of maintenance and facilities leads established across the network and report directly to the Head of Distribution and Transport.
Duties will include:
- Set Facilities Standards and ensure they are maintained
- To ensure Best proactive Facilities management is rolled out across all sites.
- To manage National and regional 3rd party contracts to ensure best value.
- To maintain CMMS to track and manage maintenance tasks effectively.
- Set National standards and Specifications
- H&S Requirements and knowledge of i.e. PUWER/LOLER etc
- Planned maintenance schedules are in position and actioned effectively
- To plan Facilities requirement for capital and revenue site spend.
- Assessing work on site (depots), raise capital requests.
- To ensure site hygiene teams are being managed effectively
- To work with the regional Facilities teams to resolve repair and maintenance problems, assisting with quotes and project work
- Site visits with contractors & contractor management
- Ad hoc site visits to assess work on site and to ensure contractors work is at the standard required
Skills required for this role are:
- Experience of facilities management/engineering/recycle centres in a multi-site warehousing environment
- Experience of Facilities strategy and contracts management
- Experience of building & leading a successful multi skilled maintenance team
- Experience of managing teams to standards and implementing One Best Way across multiple sites.
- Warehouse internals & externals i.e. sprinklers/lighting/power distribution/Generators etc
- Organise and prioritise multiple maintenance & engineering works
- Good at communication and confident to challenge contractors with regards to quotes and timelines
- The right candidate would have good knowledge of warehouse automation & experience as the company looks to develop further in this area.
