Recruiter - Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)

Are you a passionate recruiter looking for your new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity to join our in-house recruitment team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. This position is office-based 5 days per week, from our Support Centre in Speke.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in attracting and hiring the best talent for a wide range of retail positions including management roles across our 750+ stores. From partnering with hiring managers to making offers, you’ll help us deliver a first-class recruitment experience and build strong talent pipelines for the future.

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in recruitment, a proven track record in filling vacancies, and a creative approach to candidate attraction. Ideally, you’ll have experience working in a fast-paced retail environment, but this isn’t essential.

In this role your day to day will include:

  • Partnering with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs.
  • Creating and posting job adverts across various platforms.
  • Maintaining and updating high volumes of applications through our ATS.
  • Proactively sourcing candidates via databases, social media, and referrals.
  • Screening CVs and conducting telephone interviews to shortlist candidates.
  • Coordinating interviews between hiring managers and candidates.
  • Providing a positive candidate experience with clear, timely communication.
  • Tracking recruitment metrics and providing regular updates with stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven recruitment experience, either in-house or from an agency background.
  • Strong knowledge of the end-to-end recruitment process, including onboarding.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Exceptional organisation skills, able to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • A proactive, results-driven approach, with flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced team.
