We’re looking for a detail-oriented and commercially aware Assistant Branch Merchandiser to support stock allocation across our growing network of 780+ stores. Reporting to the Branch Merchandising Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time to maximise sales.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong Excel skills and a passion for retail to grow their career in merchandising. It is based full-time in the office at our Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool (L24).
In this role, your day to day will include:
- Execute and monitor weekly stock allocations across the store estate.
- Analyse sales and stock performance to inform replenishment decisions.
- Support promotional & seasonal activity through proactive planning/allocation.
- Liaise with Buying and Supply Chain teams to resolve stock-related issues.
- Maintain and update allocation tools and trackers in Excel.
- Identify stores with overstocking/underperformance and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in producing weekly reports and trade summaries.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g. formulas, pivot tables, lookups).
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Confidence communicating with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Previous experience in a retail or merchandising environment is preferred but not essential.
