About the Role

B&M are seeking a proactive and highly organised Executive Support Partner to join our legal function in a varied and fast-paced role supporting the General Counsel and wider legal team.This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives at the centre of a function - combining strategic coordination, executive-level support, project delivery, and operational oversight. You will play a key role in driving initiatives forward, enabling leadership effectiveness, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the legal function.

The Key Responsibilities in this role:

  • Partner closely with the General Counsel to support prioritisation, planning, and execution of key objectives
  • Coordinate and drive strategic legal & ESG initiatives, ensuring progress and accountability across teams
  • Prepare high-quality presentations, reports, agendas, and briefing materials for senior stakeholders
  • Lead governance coordination, including meetings, agenda setting, and action tracking
  • Provide executive-level support, ensuring strong follow-through on priorities and commitments
  • Act as a central point of coordination across the legal team and wider business
  • Support legal and commercial activities through document preparation and coordination
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely delivery
  • Identify and implement improvements to processes, reporting, and ways of working

To be Successful in this Role, You Will Be:

  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Curious and confident, comfortable asking insightful and sometimes challenging questions
  • Practical and solutions-focused, able to translate ideas into clear, deliverable actions
  • Experienced in coordinating strategic initiatives, projects, or business priorities
  • Comfortable working closely with senior leadership and operating with credibility and professionalism
  • A strong communicator, able to influence and build relationships across functions
  • Analytical, with the ability to work with data and use insights to support decision-making
  • Discreet and trustworthy, with the ability to handle sensitive information
  • Confident using Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience within an in-house legal team or legal operations is beneficial but not essential
