We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Management Accountant to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring financial information is accurate, reliable, and delivered on time.

Reporting to the Management Accounts Manager, you will play a key role in producing high-quality financial statements, maintaining robust balance sheet reconciliations, and ensuring accounting transactions are accurately reflected within the financial records. You will work closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider business to support month-end processes and drive continuous improvement.

This role is based 4 days a week in our Support Centre, Speke Liverpool (L24).

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Produce accurate and timely financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting reports for assigned accounts.
  • Monitor automated accounting entries within Oracle and prepare manual journals to ensure accounts accurately reflect the financial position.
  • Support the month-end close process by analysing account balances, investigating variances, and providing clear financial commentary.
  • Prepare high-quality balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving unreconciled items within agreed timescales.
  • Ensure transactions within assigned Oracle modules (AR, Fixed Assets, Inventory, or Cash) are accurate before interfacing into the General Ledger.

To be successful you will have:

  • A solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and accounting entries; an accounting qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong reconciliation skills with at least two years’ relevant experience, including the ability to investigate and resolve complex account balances.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, ideally Oracle Fusion, and an understanding of end-to-end transaction flows through to the Trial Balance.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, demonstrating initiative in identifying root causes of issues, improving processes, exercising sound judgement, and delivering excellent business-as-usual performance against key objectives.
