HGV Driver Trainer – Northwest UK.
Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday 06:00am – 16:00pm

We’re looking for a detail orientated, self-motivated HGV Driver Trainer to join our Distribution Centres across the North West.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team in a key operational area, which plays a vital role in keeping over 750 stores stocked and ready to serve our 4 million customers every week.
What you’ll be doing
As a HGV Driver Trainer you will be working closely with our Transport Network Development Manager to deliver in-house training and provide occasional operational cover across our Northwest DC’s.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in the recruitment of new drivers
- Conduct driver training, coaching and instruction of all B&M drivers
- Conduct annual CPC and other in-house required courses to ensure legal compliance
- Maintain and monitor Driver Training records
- Assist Shift Managers with Tachograph infringements and compliance
- Set training schedules inline with company requirements.
- Working with Shift Managers to ensure the appropriate number of fully qualified and compliant drivers are ready to meet shift demands
What we’re looking for
We are looking for someone who has previous experience training a large group of HGV drivers. You should be comfortable in interviewing new drivers and assessing their skills.
Please Note – during the interview process, you will need to produce a 15-minute presentation on a subject and format of your choice.
You’ll need to have:
- Clean Class 1 Licence
- LGV C+E Minimum of 3 years exp.
- Current DCPC
- Valid Tacho card
- Excellent Communication skills
- Computer/IT literate.
- A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) International Road Haulage is desired but not essential.
