As B&M continues to invest in and enhance its nationwide store estate, we are delivering an extensive programme of store refits, refurbishments and strategic projects as a key part of our growth strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced business where you'll play a pivotal role in transforming and improving retail environments across the UK.

Reporting to the Head of Real Estate and Development, the Senior Construction Project Manager will lead the delivery of multiple refurbishment, refit and construction projects across our store portfolio. Operating at both project and programme level, you'll ensure schemes are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget, while supporting the ongoing evolution and optimisation of our store estate.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Leading the end-to-end delivery of store refits, refurbishments, extensions and estate improvement projects across the B&M portfolio, alongside selected new store developments and relocations.
  • Managing multiple live projects simultaneously, ensuring programmes are delivered on time, within budget and with minimal disruption to trading operations.
  • Owning project budgets, identifying value engineering opportunities and maintaining strong commercial control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders across Property, Operations, Finance and Senior Leadership to align project delivery with business objectives and operational requirements.
  • Managing external contractors, consultants and suppliers, ensuring high standards of quality, compliance, health & safety and project execution.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Significant experience delivering retail refurbishment, refit and construction programmes, ideally within a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
  • Strong project and programme management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across an operational estate.
  • Excellent commercial awareness, including budget ownership, cost control, procurement and contractor performance management.
  • A collaborative and influential leadership style, with proven experience engaging senior stakeholders and driving successful project outcomes.
  • A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with a strong understanding of governance, compliance requirements, operational constraints and live trading environments.

If you are looking to build your property career within a dynamic and growing national retailer, we would love to hear from you.
