We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Advisor to join the People team based at our Distribution Centre in Speke. This generalist role is responsible for providing effective and efficient HR advice and support for our warehouse teams. The Hr Advisor will report to the People Business Partner.

As HR Advisor, you will be an integral part of a small and busy team, and will be able to demonstrate outstanding communication skills with a passion for working with people, as you will be interacting with colleagues at all levels on a daily basis.

The key accountabilities in the role are:

  • To provide all aspects of HR Advice to colleagues and managers including disciplinary, grievances, development and performance management
  •  Responsible for the end to end recruitment process including Induction & training
  • Upholding company policies and procedures through the DC management team
  •  Build relationships with external community resources including union representatives, recruitment agencies to ensure that accurate advice / processes are followed
  • Produce correspondence and documentation including offer letters, exit interviews, terms and conditions of employment and references where needed
  • Inputting data onto the HR system, ensuring that all the information is accurate
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices
  • Responsible for ensuring that absenteeism is managed through the absence management policy for both short and long term cases, including occupational referrals as applicable
  • Support the DC management team, maintaining the DC culture / strategy
  • Proactively promote the company values & lead site engagement, rewards & recognition
  • Create, develop and maintain all company communication noticeboards

The skills/experience required are:

  • Minimum 2 years HR Advisor experience
  • Working  knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice
  • Experience of successfully recruiting, inducting and training
  • Excellent at building and maintaining relationships
  • Organised with excellent planning skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong commercial awareness to understand the needs of the business
  • Great time management skills, able to effectively multiple task in a reactive environment
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to manage own work load to a set standard
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism& confidentiality
  • Proactive approach to problem solving and decision making
  • Drive, motivation and a positive can-do attitude is a must!
